Sue Khazaie is passionate about making a difference for children and her families – this has been the focus of her career for over 30 years. Currently she manages Early Childhood and Family Resource Programs at Abbotsford Community Services.
Her work experience includes a position with provincial government as a consultant for early childhood programs, managing an Infant Development Program in the Upper Fraser Valley and working with families who struggle with issues of abuse and neglect.
As a volunteer, Sue has served on the Boards and Advisory Committees of several non-profit agencies.
Currently, she is on the Board of the Society for Children and Youth of BC, the Board of BC Association of Family Resources Programs (FRP – BC) and the BC CAP-C Board. She sits on the Provincial Steering Committee for Infant Development Programs of BC. Previously, Sue was involved with the conference planning committee of The Early Years Conference 2010 - The Rights of the Child. In the community of Abbotsford, Sue is active on the Abbotsford Early Childhood Committee, the Literacy Matters Committee and Success by Six.
Sue and her husband, Sirous, live in Langley BC, where they grow organic tomatoes.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and walking her dogs.
