Barb is currently the Program Manager for Alberta Parenting for the Future Association (Parkland Parent Link Centre) in Stony Plain, Alberta, a family resource centre offering parent education, family support, early childhood development and information and referral to a rural and urban area.
Prior to working in the social service area, Barb worked in day care and as an elementary school teacher. She has lived and worked in Ontario and Alberta. She was a member of the first executive for the local Tri-Municipal Drug Strategy Team, an organizing member of the Programmers out of Parkland, on the Alberta training committee for the Public Health Agency of Canada and a member of the newly formed Alberta CAPC/CPNP Coalition for Northern Alberta. She also sits on the Early Intervention provincial evaluation committee, Parent Link Centre operations group and Early Childhood Development advisory group.
Barb is married with two adult children and two lovely granddaughters. She enjoys collecting antiques, reading and visiting with her grandchildren.
