Crystal has dedicated most of her life to community service, in both the health care and the not-for-profit sector. Besides her current role as the Executive Director of the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta, she is involved with several local and provincial committees. She is a participant on the Parent Link Provincial Accreditation Committee and the Parent Link Provincial Committee for outcomes. She has acted as a Director for the Lethbridge Community Network and Lethbridge Lifelong Learning, and is a member of Southern Alberta Network of Children’s Services, currently acting as Co-Chair for the Southern Region. She is also a member of Through a Child’s Eyes Lethbridge, and a member of the FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Coordinating Committee.
Prior to her current position, Crystal had many years of experience as a registered Psychiatric Nurse and as a Nurse Manager in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She has been actively involved in her community, acting on several community boards in various roles. She brings to the FRP Canada board her marketing, fundraising, management and facilitation skills.
In 2003, Crystal relocated to Taber, Alberta to start her life journey with her husband Dave and their combined family of five children. As well as being actively involved with her children’s school and extra-curricular activities, Crystal is an avid reader and enjoys camping, gardening and golf.
