Welcoming Newcomer Children training tools
In conjunction with her book Welcoming Newcomer Children (which was featured in FRP Canada’s Fall 2011 newsletter), Judith Colbert has developed the first of three participant guides to be used within workshops or as self-instructional training. The first guide “Meeting the Needs of Young Immigrant and Refugee Children” (Part 1 of the book) is now available in two versions – one for early childhood and primary classrooms, and for home child care settings. Prenatal Education Modules from Best Start
Ontario's Best Start Resource Centre has released a set of Prenatal Education Modules for Prenatal Educators who deliver face-to-face sessions to the general population. A total of 11 modules covering prenatal to newborn care, labour and delivery are available to download at no cost. A French version to be made available in February 2012.
